Destination: Ontario

Langdon Hall  , built in 1898 in a Federal Revivalist style, is an estate in a beautiful garden setting. Get married in the orchard, then enjoy dinner in one of the many dining spaces. This hotel and spa can accommodate your out-of-town guests, too. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a town designed for romance. Calling itself “the loveliest town in Ontario”, its picturesque architecture, wineries, and parks give Niagara-on-the-Lake a timeless charm. Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in Charlevoix is a luxurious resort in a region famous for its cuisine. Hike, boat, ski, whalewatch, snowmobile, gamble, explore the local towns…the options are endless, and your wedding party won’t ever want to leave! Hôtel de Glace is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This ice hotel near Quebec City is a stunning building open only during the winter months, so it books up well in advance. Its popularity and limited availability make it difficult to book, but the effort is well worth it.

Rustic wedding lovers will want to check out Hatfield Farm's options for indoor or outdoor weddings. Their list of fun activities (rubber rodeo or mini golf, anyone?) and financing options make this a great possibility for couples with children. If you longed to be a pirate when you were a kid, Tall Ship Silva is the perfect venue for you. A seaworthy vessel with room for 150 guests will have you saying, “Aye, aye, matey!”

Destination: New Brunswick

Kingsbrae Arms in St. Andrews-by-the-Sea is a beautiful inn, perfect for intimate weddings. The garden is manicured and filled with flowers, giving your wedding a sense of easy elegance.

Destination: Manitoba

Fort Gibraltar is a historic fort with recreations of 1815 activities on site. The fort is restored but modernized, meaning the vintage charm is there, with none of the 1815 discomfort. The buildings are attractive, with wooden beams crossing the ceilings, and the river outside adds a picturesque touch. If you’re getting married in Winnipeg, the Manitoba Club could be the spot for you. This large venue accommodates up to 450 guests (250 seated) for indoor or outdoor weddings, plus they throw in a free hotel room!

Emerald Lake Lodge has postcard-perfect views from its outdoor ceremony space, as well as several attractive rooms to rent. It also offers the lavish suggestion to “Rent Your Own Island”, so you and your guests can party in all 85 available guest rooms and in the hot tub, too! Logpile Lodge sits on 160 private acres of forested land. Go fishing, horseback riding, or even fly over a glacier - Logpile Lodge has it all for couples who want to get away from it all. Middle Beach Lodge offers a range of wedding packages, including an elopement package for up to 6 people. They also, charmingly, offer a Stormwatch package for weddings scheduled from October through March. Storm Mountain Lodge, an intimate family-owned venue, accommodates up to 36 people in cabins and for dinner. This rustic lodge is set in stunning Banff National Park; it simply doesn’t get more romantic than that.

Newfoundland and Labrador:

If you want a destination for your wedding, you can't do better than a town called “Heart’s Content”.  Heart's Content Cable House features a lighthouse, a gazebo, and the ocean next door as backdrops for your ceremony. Winterholme advertises “wellness, spa, and events” as its headline, and its menu of services leans toward the spa side of things. However, they do offer a full wedding package, plus the building is gorgeous and features a grand staircase for even grander entrances. You can always buy a massage for each of the bridesmaids (and yourself) as a pre-wedding treat.
